Replying to myself after reading the source code a bit, and documenting for others: what I want is ?heatmap&realHeat
in the URL parameters. Not sure if that can be set by default in config.js
(not really a JS expert here), also unsure about how much history is used here (I seem to find references to 24h which seems small)
And actually it's all here in the documentation: https://github.com/wiedehopf/tar1090#heatmap-in-conjunction-with-readsb-wiedehopf-fork---heatmap-feature
Sorry for bothering.
Hi, I know this feature isn't really advertised as usable, so merely asking. I managed to enable the heatmap stuff using
readsb
andtar1090
and it's displayed correctly. But when visualizing the result, the color code is still linked to the altitude and not to the frequency of plane presence, like a proper heatmap. Is there something I need to tune (either in tar1090 or readsb)?
