Publicly shareable folders

I was wondering if there could be a possibility to make a publicly shareable 
folder? Just like how you make public links to files. It would be pretty good 
feature to be able to make one to a folder so it would be easier to share files.

I'm not entirely sure if share plugin should do that. Currently Share plugin 
I'm using only makes like a "public dropbox". Other people can upload their 
files into it, but can't see other files in it, nor download them, not even see 
their own files they uploaded.

Yes, I have considered this. The thing I've left thinking is that how to 
control what exactly is shown for public. All the files and subfolders? And 
their files and subfolders? I think the assumption that you always want to 
share everything recursively might not fit many use cases.

But on the other hand, this could be a start.

I think ideal would be to perhaps make all the sub-folders etc visible as well. 
User can then have more flexibility over it. Also if the user shares out the 
root folder, well that's his/her problem.
