Opening an uncompressing a zip file produces the error "Empty response received"

When I uncompress a file.zip, it creates a file_zip in the same directory.
The files are situated 2 levels in the file_zip directory.

The following steps led to the error
1. Using the Archiver plugin, uncompress a zip file
2. Open the file_zip
3. Open the first directory under it

I expected to see the files situated in the second level of file_zip but I 
obtain the following error

Protocol error
Empty response received (status 0)

I would be glad to get to know how to solve this
