Major quality issues on the original data, visually identified using MRIQC. Exclusion criteria established at this step include: critical failures of the scanning device during operation (e.g., coil failures, scan interruption, electromagnetic spikes, etc.), electromagnetic interference artifacts, participants with incomplete protocol, incorrect protocol settings, etc.
Unsuccessfully preprocessed fMRI data. This exclusionary criterion requires that both structural and functional data are of sufficient quality for the software (fmriprep, see below).
Data of insufficient quality. This criterion will be judged based on the manual evaluation of the fmriprep generated reports. Subsequent quality control analysis showed that the excluded subjects had considerable deviations in the BOLD signal distribution in the brain hemisphere ipsilateral to the site of stimulation.
