This is interesting, as many courses have similarities and content that is shared with other courses.
Managing and implementing it, however, is no simple task, and there are many possible ways of doing it.
For instance, one could split a compendium into more separated chunks, like chapters for each topic in a course. A compendium could then be a collection of many topics. This would make it possible for multiple compendiums to reference the same topics. It would of course have to be made obvious that when you update a topic in one compendium, it would also affect other comps.
This solution requires an extensive change of how wikipendium is put together, and all exisiting comps would have to be converted to this new format.
On the other hand, the simplest solution might be to embed links to specific headlines in other comps. Then a small part of the section could be pulled in, and you can choose to click through to the full article. Something like this:
I agree that this is a problem we should address, so we should try to find a solution in the cross-section between usable, understandable and implementable.
I guess the biggest problem with the simple solution you presented is that articles that are very alike will be comprised almost entirely of "Read somewhere else"-signs.
Issue:
If you look at the compendiums "Matematikk 4D" and "Matematikk 4K" you will find that they are, at the time of writing, identical. Specifically, Matematikk 4D was written first, and its content was copy pasted to Matematikk 4K (the course-specific chapters arent added in either). The problem is: If you make any large change to the parts of Matematikk 4D included in Matematikk 4K, you now have to manually synchronize the same content in Matematikk 4K.
Enhancement proposal:
It would be great if you could in some way link to content in one article from another (which could copy both the TOC and the actual content).

Perhaps adding some options like
