URL shortner #309

With #308 we should have a url-shortner like: wkpdm.co/tdt4100

Is this domain available? I know we've talked about this before, but never found one we liked

One problem is that it's hard to remember how to type it, which kind of defeats the purpose.

The idea is that the link is for copying, not for writing, like on youtube image

I havn't checked that domain in particular, but we can check out a couple

I see. With the domain we have today we can get "wikipendium.no/tdt4100" Are there gains in shaving off the extra 6-7 characters?

It's shorter, so when linking in a text and so on you won't break the flow when reading as much. I feel it's also less intimidating than long urls. I'll agree it's not huge, but I find it comes off as more professional with a shortner

Although I do think wikipendium.no/TDT4100 is better.

@sigvef I agree. And while it's cool to have a short URL, it's not 99.00 USD cool.
