Yes, as far as I know, we don't support image resizing. There is no standard syntax for it in markdown, and we currently don't support including any custom html. Do you have a link to an article where resizing images would be convenient?
The first image on this page for example. The workaround is to edit the image and fill it with white space, but I don't think that is very elegant, especially considering mobile support. Centering would also be nice by the way. Some markdown pages support this with -> <- syntax instead of HTML. But I guess that is more of a design choice on Wikipendiums behalf, although $$-equations are centered.
I have tried a number of different syntax options for image resizing both in MD and HTML. I may be using the wrong syntax, but if so I am unaware of the correct methodology.
