\b only works for Latin base characters, umlauts are considered a word end (via StackOverflow]
no word separator needed before the an upper case month name abbreviation, I'd say, as long it ends with a word separator

Is "Dutch Cape Colony" a term you search for, or is it a term you use to generate something? Be aware that Dutch Cape Colony is not a valid name to use for (part of) South Africa. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:South_African_Roots/Sources2
