fixes #74

also:

adds a docker-compose.yml.template for convenience
controversial change maybe: keep docker running after a docker run statement. I found it confusing that a docker-compose up -d would immediately exit after running the entrypoint

@wiktorn let me know if you prefer changes here. My main concern is to be able to not build areas. How that's exactly done, I have no strong feelings about, they're just suggestions.
