Docs update #271

Some edits to bring the docs up to date.

One thing I'm not sure about, maybe others can update, is the latest Ubuntu version this has been tested/built for in os-support.md.

I think manual-build.md needs basically a complete rewrite now which I may take a stab at in a separate PR.

Thanks, I really appreciate your help. I'll merge this as a first pass on it. The Travis build is failing because of nodejs 32b version not being available for recent version. I'll merge my PR soon about it.
