The ideal situation for authors would be if the RMxAA class were to support a superset of all the functionality in the macros of AASTeX, MNRAS, A&A, etc.

In practice, this is probably not possible (inconsistencies between different journals). But even a partial solution would be good. For instance, we could implement deluxetable from AAS easily enough, since there is a standalone style file for it (although it is an old implementation).

A more radical possibility would be to derive the macros from the current aastex macros, although this would require a complete re-write
