It would be nice to use newtx instead of computer modern
Eliminate use of all caps in titles and section headings
If the printed version were to be abandoned, then we could make more radical changes
- Typeseting in single-column would simplify things enormously
- Use a smaller physical page width with small margins, so that PDF file is readable on a phone
