Exploratory stage - pick targets that show variability to determine what the HMM framework does with them.

Off the top of my head, GRS 1915+05 would be interesting. Might be worth searching the literature for and picking an AGN thought to show state switching, as well as - of course - QPO systems showing state changes.

Clearly, this needs more thought!
