Bulk Download from Content Library.pdf
Hi Will - attached is a document from our Support team re: the bulk download features in CL. This is functioning as designed. However, there is no explanation within about why bulk download capabilities are not provided in areas other than Search and Bookmarks.
Hi Michelle,
Thanks for providing this, as this is helpful in the step-by-step Bulk Download process.
However, this document address the issues that pertain to this defect and GitHub item.
As mentioned, we are inquiring as to: (1) why this functionality is available in Search/Advanced Search, but not Content Library, as well as (2) why the user doesn't receive an error notification is he/she tries to bulk download more than 50 documents at at time.
Hi Will,
Similar to one of our last inquiries- there isn't a way for me to find out why it was designed this way originally. I can ask QA if there is supposed to be a popup letting the user know that they need to deselect some plans in order to bulk download - we have the functionality for bulk updates, I believe.
Confirmed that this popup is not in place for the Bulk Download functionality. If you want to share this document with your users, they can follow and the document does instruct the user to only select 50 plans at a time.
We will discuss this internally, but this will likely have to be left open as enhancement to be addressed in P2A. I will respond again this afternoon.
Hi Michelle,
After discussing internally, we will abide by the attached document, and follow the guideline that no more than 50 document(s) should be downloaded at once in bulk. However, this portion will be left as an open enhancement for P2A.
For the 2nd portion of this item (allowing bulk download to be done from Content Library in addition to Search/Bookmarks), can you provide more explanation why this cannot be done? Since the Search is done in conjunction with Content Library, the same functions should be able to be done in both. This will be left open for V1.
This may be divided into 2 separate items, but there are issues with the Bulk Download functionality...
