Yes we need this feature badly.  Your add function is too weird.  The user 
should not have to worry about a word in the event description be mis 
understood.  Using ICS standard format to import events using googlecl would 
make google calendars alot easier to interface with other applications.

The reason I selfishly want this feature is because my work uses Outlook for 
calendar and email. I use mutt, I would love to upload ics files that I am sent.

If the API does not support it, it shouldnstill be possible to parse the ICS 
and internally generate parameters equivalent to a well-formed command-line 
entry.
