Ping fails silently so it's difficult to see what's wrong in the logs #4

To reproduce:
Start the TestFailover sample program (or any other GuiceBox app that uses 
FailoverModule) with a 
wrong WKA, ie. one that GuiceBox will *not* be able to reach.

Expected:
Some kind of error in the log to indicate that the WKA can't be reached, and 
that's why the 
application won't start.

Actual:
No logging from Ping at all, so it's difficult to diagnose what's wrong.
