I would like to add some sort of GUI to this.

Either a cross platform app or webapp.

With a Home Assistant (Climate MQTT maybe?) integration you will get an HMI without having to make it yourself.

I think many potential users of this component actually are running HA already, I do :)

Yeas that could be something, But I will have to see. There is atleast some demand for it so, perhaps If I can find some time to fix that up.
