Create a savestate and upload it somewhere were it doesn't disappear.

I hope that works. :)

I had no problems at all jumping up on it from the water, tried the plank right
in
front of you when you load the save state.

That's weird. For me, it just does not jump, no matter how long i try. I could
post a video of me trying to jump
out if that would be of any use.

Here's a link to a video of the situation:

The quality is absolutely terrible as I didn't take a look at the export
settings of the video as I just made it very
quickly, but you should get the picture of what's going on.

Sure looks weird, may it be a problem with the input? Maybe the analog stick on
your
controller is bad or something, I have to pull it back almost all the way to
actually
jump up from the water..
Might changing the values of AnalogPeak do something?

I'm actually using the keyboard for controlling. As I run this on my laptop for
on the go purposes and I don't lug
around any controllers.

Ok, I tried it with the keyboard recently and I get the same result as you do.

Thanks for all that info. The problem seems to be following:
Left-CTRL == maximum "analog" peek is reduced to 50%
Left-Shift == maximum "analog" peek is reduced to 75%
Left-CTRL+Left-Shift == maximum analog peek is reduced to 25%
So if you use the default configuration then button A and B are mapped to left
shift
and right ctrl... so your maximum peek is always reduced when pressing those
buttons.
The problem is fixed in 86:b7c2c46e76c7 of mupen64plus-input-sdl by moving those
special buttons to right shift and right ctrl

There's no right control on the Apple keyboard though, so that won't help me,
also right shift is just above the
arrow keys, so that won't be usable either.
I've been thinking about reassigning the buttons anyway, but haven't had looked
into it yet, but it's nice if that
fixes this.
