mupen64plus 1.99.4 not opening HELP #420

Describe your system:
 - Operating System: ubuntu
 - Machine type 32-bit
 - Mupen64Plus version:1.99.4
 - Plugins used: standard plugins

Describe the problem: hi alli recently upgraded from mupenv1.5 but the main 
issue im having problems ive installed all the right package's but when i click 
to open the program nothing comes up im at my wits end here and ive gone 
through installing and reinstalling the emulator but nothing i could really use 
some help here and now after ive installed again theres no menu icon this 
really frustrating..... 

Please provide any additional information below.

kazuma42, the issue tracker is not the right place for this type of query.

For problems with building, execution, or installation, you can either post a 
question on our emutalk forum or come to the IRC channel #mupen64plus at 
irc.freenode.net.

From your description of the problem, it sounds like you're expecting a GUI.  
Mupen64Plus has been re-architected to separate the user interface from the 
emulator.  The main package no longer ships a GUI interface, just a CLI.  You 
can read the quick-start guide here:

The most promising GUI front-end is Auria's wxMupen64Plus, here:

It looks like she didn't make a Linux binary for the 0.1 release.  You'll have 
to build from source or ask someone on the IRC channel for a build.
