Describe your system:
 - Operating System (be specific): Mac OS X 10.6.6
 - Machine type (32-bit or 64-bit): 32-bit
 - Mupen64Plus version: 1.99.4
 - Plugins used: default set; using Glide for display

Describe the problem:

I'm using a HuiJia 2-port USB n64 controller adapter and 2 Nintendo brand N64
controllers.

I've used SDLJoyTest and attempted to press multiple buttons, and there is no
mention of a button9 (start button) being pressed in the output. However, when
playing any game (GoldenEye is the most annoying manifestation), if I press 2
or more buttons, the game gets paused (i.e., receives a Start button event.)

I have found the solution to this problem -- Apparently it IS a hardware issue,
but something harder to pinpoint. The solution was to pull the controller
connector slightly out of the socket on the adapter, about 2mm or so. This
fixed the issue in all of the games I play.

not a Mupen64Plus software issue.
