pdf roster error - FPDF error: Could not include font definition file #655

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. try to make a pdf of a team roster. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
get the error:
FPDF error: Could not include font definition file

What version of the product are you using?
0.96

Please provide any additional information below.
this is a new install, we are just getting it set up. 
I have very little experience with php... 

I did check - the font directory is present. it has the fonts.

Did you check the access permissions (+rx) of your font folder ?
