Hi there, I'm the developer of the most popular Lethal Company overhaul modpack currently, TheMostLethalCompany. I have to say I'm a big fan of this mod and it's been a part of my pack for some time now, but I do have some concerns I would like to raise about it:
The Hackpad doesn't seem to change price visually in the store when the config is changed. I have it set to 45 as it's not an insanely strong/popular item in the pack, but it displays as 60 instead (default) in the store interface on the terminal.
I would recommend removing LethalSettings as a hard dependency from the mod. It currently doesn't add anything to this mod in particular (.cfg modification isn't necessary to use it to my understanding, and this can just be altered in the modloader if really necessary). I understand it's your mod, but as a modpack creator I try and limit the number of redundant mods that don't really have uses, and I cannot achieve this if a mod is forcibly installing other features every time I add it to the manifest.
Do you plan on updating the item model at any point? Right now it's somewhat basic and doesn't fit the Lethal Company artstyle immensely well imho. Not a dig at the tool or anything, the actual display of the tool, how it's used, and the sound design are perfect though, so kudos for that. I used to use the LethalThings Hacking Tool but found it a bit gimmicky so I much prefer the simplicity of this concept.
Hello! I'll try my best to address your points in the order you raised them:
I believe this may have been an issue with an older version of LethalSettings, and should be resolved in the newer versions of the mod.
I understand your desire to keep your mod profile concise as a modpack creator, however I do not have plans to make LethalSettings a soft dependency. It's my opinion that every mod which implements configs with the intent for users to edit them should use LethalSettings, and the Hack Pad falls under this category.
I don't have any defined plans to update the model, but I am not opposed to it. Unfortunately, my skill set does not extend to 3D modeling, so improving it on my own is unlikely to happen at this point. I've been on the lookout for a modeler who would be interested in collaborating on future mod projects, and if I ever find one then rest assured that updating the Hack Pad model will be one of the first priorities.
