Describe the bug
Upon first launch, denying camera access will show the "Please move closer to the device." banner incessantly. ~Subsequent launches appear to work as expected.~ The banner can, in fact, appear in subsequent launches.
Expected behavior
No banner should be displayed if the user denies camera access.
