Consider rewording the "strike an adult male" question.

In my discussion, one of the participants interpreted the question about whether it was ever appropriate for a police officer to strike an adult male as being explicitly in lieu of shooting, or using other physical violence. This raises the prospect that some participants are interpreting this question as an appropriate escalation of force, and others are considering it a potential deescalation compared to a baseline of more lethal force.
