Devise overall modeling approach #29

Model should connect pre-discussion IVs (participant baseline attitudes/traits, randomized treatments) to post-discussion DVs (endline attitudes, satisfaction, group decisions if applicable) via in-discussion mediators/mechanisms (features derived from AV data/transcripts, such as speaking time, ideology/stance of utterances, (dis)agreement, emotional expression, etc) which ideally should be modeled as a sequence of events (Markov process?)

For measuring persuation, esterling describes an "standard" approach (Esterling, Kevin M., Archon Fung, and Taeku Lee. 2021. “When Deliberation Produces Persuasion rather than Polarization: Measuring and Modeling Small Group Dynamics in a Field Experiment.” British Journal of Political Science 51 (2): 666–84.) that includes an update towards the average position of the group (unweighted).
