I would also love one that works with usbloaderGX...
Also I am curious if it might be simpler to somehow add support for WII VC injects on WIIU... i.e. adding something to this tool: https://github.com/Hotbrawl20/UWUVCI-AIO
I am really not sure, just a thought.. if usbloaderGX is not an option the WII VC Injects might be another option..
@geogolem Iirc Wii VC disables the USB ports :/
@HTV04 I dont think WIIVC disables the USB ports. Nintendont itself can run as a WIIVC inject and the usb ports are fine as Nintendont supports the GC USB adapter and it seems to work fine when running gamecube games etc.
The problem as I understand it is simply that the WII VC has no support for the usb gamecube controller adapter itself.
the vWII itself also supprots usb devices etc. but the issue is that the WII doesn't have an OS and so there is no straightforward way to redirect I/O etc. to trick the vWII into treating usb GC adapter as the native GC ports on original WIIs. the only real way is to patch each game itself on the fly etc.
With WIIVC injections on WIIU more may be possible similar to how the gamepad is able to be used etc but I'm not really sure.
I could be totally wrong about everything in this post - please correct me.
@geogolem You're probably right, maybe the issue with USB devices only occurs if the Wii VC is stored on the USB instead of on the MLC (this is just what I've heard though, never tested it for myself so don't quote me on that).
As for having some sort of process in the background like the Wii VC has for enabling things like the Gamepad, more reverse-engineering might have to be done before enabling HID devices like the GC adapter. Don't know if that has been researched yet, though.
Hey, I just want to say that this inject is really cool, and I'm really excited to be able to play Brawl on my Wii U with a GameCube controller. I noticed that in your to-do list, you were able to get the inject working in USB Loader GX, but it wouldn't work anywhere else. Would it be possible to create two different builds of the inject, one that's compatible with the disc, and one that's compatible while using USB Loader GX?
