The full error message is:

Unexpected OPTLINK Termination at EIP=0042785B

EAX=00007B54 EBX=00000202 ECX=00000006 EDX=003F0000 ESI=0043E918 EDI=003F4000 EBP=0017FF94 ESP=0017FF3C First=00402000

The attachment contains object files + def/ksp/bat for reproduction. Object files were created by DMD 1.069, but I could only reproduce the behavior when using a build tool (bud). (If required, I could post full reproduction instructions from just the source code.)

I ran into this again today, but with D2 this time. I'm getting really tired working around OPTLINK crashes...

Yes, sorry about that. These tend to be a lot of work to track down in the optlink source (like days).

Does not reproduce with OPTLINK 8.00.15.
