I forgot how many times I've seen someone who doesn't search about their issue first... Let's answer anyway: There is a Widevine patcher in Supermium program folder, called win7_fixwidevine.bat, if it will work, will work, if it won't, then you're OUT OF LUCK (Just find some music service without DRM or look for patched versions for Win7)

As a new-ish supermium user I've been working through this issue as well.

If you need a browser on Windows 7 to play protected content, as I type this, Firefox Legacy ESR 115 does work with CBS, HBO and Netflix which means it probably works for many/most things.

Firefox has a VMP signature, and supermium doesn't, so services that require a VMP signed browser won't allow their content to play. For even more detail see https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/issues/813

@swinokur thank u for the suggestion it seems firefox esr is the only browser that works with drm protected content i've tested so many browsers all of them didn't work with drm content i hope this problem can get solved before firefox esr end the support for w7.

@gokuzgt1 did spotify worked for u?

@Half-Modern i did some recherche before i opend an issue here but i found nothing that helps with this issue, and thanks for mentioning the hiding Widevine patcher file,i just tested it unfortunately it did not work,it seems the only way to play drm content for now by using firefox esr that still support w7,i don't like to use firefox i like to use chromium based browsers like supermium and thorium they are so much smoother and faster.

Unfortunately, Supermium will need a VMP certificate to play back most content using Widevine. The size of the company can't presently support the fees to licence a certificate.

I am working on alternative methods, to ensure the continued usage of Widevine and VMP signatures on Windows 7 after all supporting browsers have been discontinued, but it's possible that a browser that already has a VMP signature may be required instead of Supermium.
