Dark Mode: Default NTP missing the Supermium icon/logo #584

Describe the bug

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Launch a new/fresh Supermium 122 profile, at default settings.
  2. Open a New Tab Page (NTP).
  3. Notice that it contains in its centre-area the Supermium logo/icon (outlined in red below):

smbug2

  1. Navigate to chrome://flags, search for the #force-dark-mode flag and modify its value to Enabled.
  2. Relaunch the browser, as prompted.
  3. After the relaunch, browser should have a "Dark Mode" GUI.
  4. Open once more the default NTP; notice now that it misses the Supermium logo/icon, with a white circle in its expected place:

smbug2-2

This behaviour, hopefully, isn't by-design, is it?

Thanks for developing this browser, a real saviour for Vista 32-bit (for which there was no Extended Kernel) ...

It appears that the colour settings applied to the search engine logo don't work well with anything that is more than just text, such as the Google logo it replaced. Either this will be colourized or removed altogether in dark mode.
