Choosing default search engine also change the New Tab Page (or NTP). Almost all major search engines has such page. Say you select duck search as default

you will see something like that ![ntp_duck](https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/assets/13261533/dac6f986-2ac1-4ec8-bffa-e55d14b3f833)
or that for bing ![ntp_bing](https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/assets/13261533/aa64904b-53f7-4438-a656-607c1841fa63)

Google also has own web-NTP... or had until some time. Now google main page is also NTP for all other browsers, but chromium is special case where custom NTP is embedded into browser. Absolutely normal that you will see logo of search engine, that you use in the address bar and on NTPage - Google logo. And this is where you come and simply replace NTP logo with custom one but not provide any corresponding service under that custom brand. It's same as replacing duck logo on their NTPage. Logo on NTPage is logo of search engine, not owner of browser and not browser itself. You probably did this because it was embedded in browser.

So please can you return google logo for their NTPage only I understand it's a good place for branding, but it's for search engine branding, not browser.

If you so need this placing - flag or option will be enough for me.

P.S. I'm not a blind google fan, but like original branding where it should be or no branding at all. For me most hard part of updating Supermium is patching this place cuz both svg and js is gziped with ids, non-persistent between versions. Further more - js can't be simply replaced by preserved one, it must be patched

You can create your own page with whatever logos and other stuff you want or save an existing one to a file, then enable #custom-ntp and point it to that file. Or install an extension that replaces NTP

I've tried setting Google as default search and that's what I get: image

without any theme ![ntp_ggl_light](https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/assets/13261533/838c68e1-d488-4454-b17f-c48607d98de3)
with default color theme (that issue [reported](https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/issues/584), probably you also have it or just has specific flags setup) ![ntp_ggl_dimmed](https://github.com/win32ss/supermium/assets/13261533/35404bdc-70d0-4389-8312-8a30a3aa7342)

one more extension for one more extension to control one more extension - no thx. It's not just my wish, it's about consistency and correctness

I prefer to see Supermium rather Google there, so if it's going to be corrected, it should be a switch for whose want Google logo.
