Hello, good day, Issue: New Gmail messages are not displayed in bold. There are also certain web pages where the text comes out too clear, pale, like b2brouter.net

Operating system: Windows XP 32bits SP3 Now I use the supermium version: 122.0.6261.152 (R6) 32bits Before, I used version: 122.0.6261.85 and it did appear in bold but files could not be attached. I have also used version 122.0.6261.152 which had the same problem of new messages not appearing in bold. I tried version 122.0.6261.152 (R5) but got nothing. When installing I check the box: Install Noto Emogi Font I think maybe it's not a bug but rather it's some font that needs to be installed, I don't know.

Many greetings, and congratulations on the development of this browser.

Interestingly, it shows the bold text in my setup (XP SP3, 122.0.6261.152 R6). Maybe you need to enable GDI rendering from about:flags, as it fixes some issues with text.

Copy this and paste on your address bar and press Enter: chrome://flags/#force-gdi then set the highlighted flag to "Enabled".

The pale fonts are likely remote fonts and local fonts will usually display better. uBlock Origin can be used to disable remote fonts.

I am not sure about Gmail, although GDI font rendering should be enabled at all times in XP, unless there is some DirectWrite implementation available, but that will only be true with One-Core-API.

Many thanks FK2FAGHMS I made this "Enabled" but it didn't work.

Many thanks win32ss Force GDI font rendering was already "Enabled"

Still the same, they are not shown in bold
