Question about privacy #79

Hello,

Thank you for your work on this project! I wanted to ask is it any way related to ungoogled chromium? I would love to use it! Or this is a "normal" chrome with the basic google shenanigans? :)

It's just normal chromium with 7 support restored + Google Sync enabled with the right API keys afaik (correct me if I'm wrong), so I don't think it's particularly "de-googled" in any significant fashion, not that it matters for most either way.

Supermium proudly does not require an extension to install extensions. All jokes aside, it's not "de-googled" in the same way that project is. It's open source, and contains no non-free components (besides codecs) to my understanding. Crash reporter is also completely offline, so that doesn't snoop on you. You'd have to voluntarily opt-in to use Google Sync to share any meaningful data with Google.
