Yandex.com not resolving #910

Open zap369 opened 1 week ago

zap369 commented 1 week ago

I am using Supermium 126.0.6478.249 R3 (XP x64 Hotfix)_32bit on XP SP3 32bit

When going to https://yandex.com/ I get this message in Supermium:

"This site can’t be reached yandex.com unexpectedly closed the connection."

Yandex.com resolves on all the other browsers I use but not on Supermium.

win32ss commented 1 week ago

I wonder if anyone else can replicate this bug. I've had no issues accessing Yandex on various Supermium instances across different operating systems.

When I entered the Yandex website there was a connection error, but I just clicked on the reload option and the website started working normally again.

No issues accessing yandex.com here.

OS: Windows Vista SP2 32-bit fully updated until EoL + SHA2 WS2008 updates (manually installed) Supermium: 32-bit compiles of versions 121-r2, 122-r6, 124-r2, 126-r3 (all self-contained "portable" installs with own separate profile each) Location (doesn't seem to matter) : Southern Europe, EU member state Connection: IPv4 ONLY, ADSL speeds.

The fact is I, too, am "suffering" from this bug to a greatest degree :rage: ; my "dirty" 126-r3 profile is highly unlikely to connect to https://yandex.com (Sm-126-r3 shown):

yan3

This isn't about an IP address issue and/or geolocation, other browsers on the same machine and connection access Yandex instantly (tried on roytam1's browsers like latest NM28, St52, St55 and with 360EEv13 (Cr86), KafanMiniBrowser (Cr87), too) ...

Things I've tried, to no avail:

  1. Disabling ClientHints via internal flag or the User Agent Switcher extension
  2. Setting a different User Agent for Yandex (with CH enabled/disabled)
  3. Removing many of my custom cmdline flags, leaving practically only --user-data-dir=..., disable-machine-id, disable-encryption
  4. Switching to the latest (.5073) IDA-RE-things alternative "progwrp" libs, instead of the official one (.5022)
  5. Disabling all privacy-related extensions, including uBO; in this last case, and if I happen to be extremely lucky, Yandex would throw at me a "SmartCaptcha", which itself, 90% of times, wouldn't fully load :sob:

yan4

I continued my tests with a brand new, fresh, Sm-v126-r3_x86 profile; first time I tried to load Yandex, they immediately thought I was a bot:

yan1

I exited the browser, then relaunched it; this second time, the captcha page didn't even load:

yan0

After several more attempts, I got the captcha page fully loaded again, then, after solving the challenge, Yandex finally loaded:

yan2

To re-iterate, it's specifically Supermium on this machine which manifests the Yandex connection issue...

Yandex are known to perform aggressive browser fingerprinting and there's something native to Sm that their anti-bot infrastructure objects to and immediately throws a captcha at you (if you're lucky) or outright BLOCKS the connection...

Obviously I can't test 64-bit Sm compiles here, but the OP is also on a 32-bit OS...

Could the problem be due to secure DNS? Try disabling it in the Supermium settings.

UPD. No, it's not that, I can't open yandex.com with DNS disabled either. Although ya.ru, which is the Russian domain of Yandex, opens and works without problems.

I forgot to mention that https://yandex.eu/ works fine on my end.

I received results of another test by a Windows 7 x64 user from the USA. No yandex.com there either, and it turns out to be an SSL handshake failure. I'm going to try and see if anything on Supermium's end can be done to resolve this issue.

a bit late and should be posted yesterday but i didn't press Comment button... damn

same for SMv126r3 x64 @ W7 SP1 for me have not tried other browsers after some attempts and playing with some tools it's eventually start working even without those tools

probably it's the same thing that's trigger cloudflare issue...

Problem: Nothing can be done this is solely yandex problem. I don't know if you guys know or not, but isn't yandex based in russia...and isn't their...gee idk, a war? Of course theres gonna be problems right now. In every browser i've had it's been like that.

test: Used multiple browsers all had same error: brave, edge, firefox, chrome/(not superium)

solution: tor extension for superium from chrome webstore. it'll be a little slower, but you get a guranteed connection. you still gotaa solve captcha tho.

solution 2 (not recommended): keep refreshing and trying to solve captcha and keep getting disconected. you may be able to get through once or twice, but as you search and use yandex, you'll get disconnected.

also thanks for this custom chrome!! I've been using it for my custom themed win 10 :>. Custom title bar is lovely so much love for the guy/gal/person who's made superium

How do you explain this then? All on the same XP rig on the same network.

Problema: Não há nada que possa ser feito, este é um problema exclusivo do Yandex.

Como você explica isso então? Tudo no mesmo XP rig na mesma rede.

Download the Urban Vpn extension (link: https://www.urban-vpn.com/) and see if it solves the problem. I logged into the Yandex.com website with a VPN and it didn't have the connection problem as before, it logged in normally.

just for info

IE 11 is able to open site while Supermium show RESET error ...

After win32ss mentioned SSL, i wanted to view the certificate info, but after some of 100-th version chromium not show info about invalid certificate(thx to rework of certificate view), so IE

and there some interesting info(idk can it help or not)

https://yandex.eu/ just regular certificate ![image](https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/5a6aa3e8-429e-496b-91e3-e60a7cd52037)
https://yandex.com/ wata__k and why first is 4lvl piece of shit and not some of normal domain? but it's xepnya so nothing else can be expected NOTE: here is [ECC](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elliptic_Curve_Digital_Signature_Algorithm) used ![image](https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/47e62138-5101-406c-bff0-f1e77a9d2cb8)

so probably it's due to security reason, but even so connection reset is kind of strange issue

@zap369 - note that MX5 and 360 show that their cert is untrusted. Also hide images under spoiler, pls.

your content here; keep one empty line, else github markup may not work properly

@OOMU-OFFICIAL, about ru-origin - they not that sort of company, they will suck all that can profit them regardless of your origin plus a bit more(like google but x1000). Also this domain is intended for non-ru users plus this company now separated to multiple(but if i'm correct no one of them registred in ru, lol). they greedy, they shady, their anal zondes trespases in any hole, once you access their services. however as i know they have some really good local services. that all you need to know

@rafaelwolf88 VPN is one of the tool i played with - does not help

I can access yandex.com(IP:5.255.255.77) normally on my Windows 11 using Firefox I used Supermium on my 2003 VM and the first time I got 77.88.55.88 and 77.88.44.55 and timed out, after I refreshed I got 5.255.255.77 and then the connection reset After I refreshed it multiple times it finally worked: 图片

edit:no work again,Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't works 2nd edit: 图片 You can try adding these three IPs 77.88.55.88, 77.88.44.55, 5.255.255.77 to Hosts, but I don’t guarantee that this method will work for you. 图片

XakerTwo commented 1 week ago

another interesting thing try JUST open ya.ru , NOT yandex.ru (it's a junk version), you not need to do anything just successfully open it(no-js and other restricts are welcome and recommended) on success try .com again few more times (works most of the times but not always)

these sites has the same cert but for whatever reason short ya.ru works and somehow "estabilish bridge" for .com for a limited time ![image](https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/ea0295b3-c5c2-4c6a-a982-2c375124595a)

and about hosts - suggested is probably useless cuz .com(and any from list in cert) resolves to exact same addresses

OOMU-OFFICIAL commented 1 week ago

@XakerTwo ...oh no idea they sperated into multiple. To be honest, i stopped using Yandex like 3-5 years ago because of this. But having a vpin or tor extension works and maintains it.

But yeah from this point, i see that its not about origin, more about invading any hole they can ig. 😂
