I experienced the networking issue randomly for the first couple of installations. But it should work eventually. Most likely it is because of the .yaml file is not modified probably. Alternatively, you don't need to modify the .yaml file. Instead, connect the board to a router with internet connections. The board is set to DHCP by default. You can install and enable the ifupdown rather than netplan, which is slightly easier to configure the network in old fashion.

Make sure going through all the steps. Once you install the display manager, there will be HDMI display. Sometimes the old monitor with VGA-2-HDMI might not working probably.
