Look into alternatives to dropbox #8

We are getting to the point where dropbox wants us to pay 100 $ per year to store our data, its a good problem to have but I don't really want to pay it. The main reason we are using dropbox instead of a free service like OSF is dropbox is much faster upload speed. We may want to test out zenodo: https://developers.zenodo.org/ to see if we can get the same speed without spending the extra money.

How about a generic webdav interface? My university hosts a Nextcloud instance. Maybe we can use that. How much space do we talk?

Right now we are averaging 1gb per year. I think in a few years it will max out around 10gb per year.

How much space is currently needed? Our Nextcloud should do fine with ~50-100 GB but I need to ask our computation center about everything exceeding 10 GB

Nice! Great idea. Yeah I mean 10gb would probably last us a few years right now. It would definitely buy us some time.
