A consolidator who books a flight charter from an airline, can tokenise each seat in the charter in the form of ERC-721 non-fungible tokens. Tokenising the seats as digital assets facilitates secondary markets for these seats, while also creating an extra element of flexibility for the end-passenger as they can hold the seat token as a digital bearer-instrument on the Ethereum blockchain, free to sell or swap or give-away the seat if they choose.
After further conversation we propose to leverage Winding Tree's identity-management functionality to provide a blockchain identity for the consolidators who are tokenising the seats and for the OTA's who would purchase the seats.
