User report that several sites don't work #62

Closed wingman-jr-addon closed 3 years ago

A user was kind enough to leave some feedback on uninstall:

Broke several websites, reddit wasn't browsable. Not because it was blocking images, but because it wasn't even letting safe ones load. Just a perpetual loop of loading

Unfortunately, I don't know whether or not they had the new Cloudflare integration turned on or not - timing-wise it seems they are on 1.1.0 but I do not have a direct report. I need to do some work to get a reproduction of the issue. Any feedback from others would be appreciated so I can track down what's happening.

Well, I've tried the popular subreddit Oddly Satisfying in compact and card view with and without Cloudflare on and I'm not seeing anything other than normal blocked images. Pages are fully loading (not getting stuck on load), images aren't getting stuck.

For now, I'm going to close this one as I haven't gotten any other feedback on it. It is possible that things were reverting to the CPU backend like the problems we had in Firefox 83, so adding the WASM backend maybe fixed this at least partially?
