This sounds amazing! Code contributions are always welcome! The best way for that is a pull request here on Github. I had some code contributions already in the past and this is the most transparent way for that. If possible, it would be the best, if you could split it into one pull request for each function. This makes it easier to review and merge the code.

Dear Michael,
we are avid users of your plugin on www.ivir.nl and there are a number of new functions we would like to add to the plugin, by directly contributing to the code base. These functions include:
addition of a number of new publication types, such as Contribution to journal – Special issue, Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding-Entry for encyclopedia/dictionary, Working paper, Non- textual form & short web content, Thesis, and case note. We have bibtex examples for each type, and would like to add them.
linking wordpress users to author in the publication module,
when displaying publications, adding a link to wordpress user page, if wp user is linked to an tp author
add ris export option
let admins export publications by author / linked wp user
add text with hyperlinks in a note or abstract field
what would be the best way to do this. if we forgk the code, would you bewilling to review and merge our additions if and when we are ready?
