With https://github.com/mitchellh/vagrant/commit/3b10a3165ad461b4f39e8867645e75687bfb345b Vagrant now supports long paths when using vboxsf (and maybe other types) but not nfs.

I tested the mention commit with nfs, and it mounts no problem, however it does not support paths longer than 256 characters.
