I wonder if things like this, release notes, roadmap, etc. (all expected to change as we go along) would be better put in the winpython wiki?
This would be an idea, but I think there should be a certain amount of information available on the homepage to reduce the lookup time for new (potential) users. So, informations that are important for new and existing users, should be there in my opinion. This includes a list of packages, maybe a short forecast for the next version or some notes of what are plans for the futures (as already proposed in #3, and also linking the Roadmap in the wiki), how to get help and how to help/contribute.
As the content grows with all these additions, it's necessary to organize/split the content a bit, but with minimal effort as we have still only a small website. Currently I'm thinking of keeping all on one page, but use some JS to display only parts (so no problems with deactived JS). Besides, it would also fix the unresponsive design :)

Create an extra page and provide there a list of pre-installed packages (can be obtained from the Changelogs).
