Feature Request: Pin process to top #1369

I was wondering if we could add a feature to pin a process to the top of the list regardless of sort options. This way you can sort the list, but still have specific processes pinned to the top.

For example, I play a game called Satisfactory, I would like to pin the process to the top so I can keep an eye on it while I am playing because I am troubleshooting lag/stuttering issues. Turns out it something to do with IO usage.

It would be much easier to diagnose if I could pin specific processes and keep an eye on them.

It would also be cool if we could re-arrange the pinned processes by drag and drop.

I hope this is a feature we will see in a upcoming release!

Oh wow, that is a tremendous idea! I'm often struggling with sorting because I want to keep an eye on a few processes (for instance, from applications I'm developing.) I now have to use the 'trick' to name them aaaaaaaMyApp1.exe and aaaaaaMyApp2.exe and so forth to keep them in view.

Also, please remember them between restarts.

Love this idea! Maybe it could be a top-level parent virtual/logical process named Custom or Pinned, similar to how System Idle Process, winlogon.exe and explorer.exe have nested processes. It could work similar to Quick access in File Explorer - drag & drop to rearrange, and right click context menu Pin to Quick access. That would be super helpful as I usually only want to keep an eye on a few processes at a time, depending on what I'm doing.

Great enhancement if it would implemented!
