Spoof in game name or maybe be able to route steam ID to anyone

iirc i'm pretty sure this is impossible, I think Winston mentioned something like this so I'll look for it. These might be related

Also in my experience even after changing my steam name and restarting LC, some people still saw my old name. I guess names might be "cached" in a way to clients.

Yup. Not possible as far as we know.
