Ahoy, I'm mozi (Moritz) from Germany. mozi_h#5401

I do coding as a hobby and lead this project (in terms of coordination and communication). I attended an IT-specific-school, but am changing profession entirely – keeping coding as a hobby only.
Hello there! I'm sturgelose (though Erik is my real name) from Barcelona, Spain. sturgelose#5124
on Discord.
I'm originally a Telecommunications engineer (antenas, phones and waves) but did a masters in Cloud Computing. Been 3 years developing in my own startup and now I'm working as a DevOps engineer.
I have background in Python, JS, TS, Angular, and many other frameworks and stuff. So full-stack developer, Sysops and DevOps (containers, Kubernetes and scalability). Plus I've been living abroad few years in Finland and Germany :)
Coding is my hobby and my job (as long as girlfriend allows me :P )
Hello people! I am ChemiCalChems (real name Txema Ynzenga) from Madrid, Spain, discord handle is ChemiCalChems#2171
.
I'm 20 years old, in my third year of the Physics Degree at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. I've been coding since I was twelve or so, and my background is pretty much C++, though I've done some Java and not a whole lot of Python, but coding is pretty much a hobby for me.
Anyone with questions, feel free to DM me on Discord, i'll make sure to answer.
Hello everyone! I'm Micah, (Semifour#4967
on Discord), and I live in the Midwestern US.
I just graduated college with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and am currently working as a software engineer. I've been programming for a while and my experience is in many areas (full stack webdev, mobile apps, and random other side projects).
I heard about the marble machine by chance and have been following the progress of the MMX pretty much since the beginning. I'm really excited to have the opportunity to work this project with the rest of the community!
Hi all ✌,
I'm Zvi Karp(zvik#0328
on discord) from Israel.
A full-stack developer with experience in Node.js, React (not TS, but this shouldn't be a barrier), Python and Flutter. It would be an honor for me to work on the VMMX - can't wait to get my hands dirty!
Hello! I'm Roope Salmi from Finland, moving to university studies soon. ollpu#7126
on Discord.
I've been programming since forever, and have seen a lot of things along the way. From PHP to Java to Ruby to Python to C++. Heck, throw CSS in there too. More recently I've done competitive programming, which is C++-heavy algorithm design for the most part. So, if you need your code optimized or a covert bug debugged, hit me up ! A hobby project I love to procrastinate on is a modular synthesizer written in C++.
I'm familiar with the basics of React, but TypeScript and the modern js world overall will have to be picked up on the fly. I'm sure that's no big problem.
Hi! I'm Zak Griffin from The United States, ZedFalcon#5443
on Discord.
I have some amateur experience in Java, Python, and JavaScript. Most of my developer time recently has been in the JS world, and I've been learning React for a good few months now. I'm planning on getting an education in computer science since I've been steadily gaining a passion for it over the past few years. I found the MMX project a while back and have been consistently watching and loving Martin's videos. This is my first time with an open source project and working with a dev team, so I look forward to learning a lot!
Hello, this is Martin from Austria. I am a Typescript / React developer and have a lot of experience with web technologies (JS, Node, Typescript, React, Webpack, babel...). I don't have much time for private projects at the moment but I would like to contribute to this project. If you have any technical questions, please feel free to contact me. Discord: mawi#5544
Hi all! I'm Sebastian from Germany, Prof. James#9533 on Discord.
I'm in my third year of the Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and i started coding at the age of twelve. I started with Java programming, but also did some small Python, Go, C and Angular/TS projects.
Hi, I'm Felix from Germany, TheBrainless#3845 on discord.
I got my masters in computer science and I'm working now as a software engineer since several years. I'm working with nodejs/vanilla js since 1.5 years, before I was working more with Python/Java/C++. I'm familiar with devops, kubernetes and docker and always try to aim for high quality code using automated tools like code style checks or automated tests.
I'm really happy that with this project there's a way to support the MMX project since I'm following it since day 1 and I'm really fascinated by what Martin archived during the last years of development.
Hi everyone, I'm Udayraj from India, Udayraj#9071 on Discord.
I graduated with a Bachelors in Computer Science and have about a year of experience in React development. I have also worked on a full stack project based on Laravel(php), and have been maintaining an open source openCV(python) project called OMRChecker.
Have been watching Martin's MMX series since the beginning along with his other videos, and I find this would be a great opportunity to show my support to him and the wintergatan community. Although currently I may not be available for enough time, but I would love to help whenever I can.
Hi all! 👋 I'm Ivina, (Ivina#8609 on Discord), I'm originally from Brazil now based in the UK.
I've graduated from a coding bootcamp last year and now I'm writing code for a living . I'm a full stack dev and I am familiar with Typescript, Node and React.
I first saw the marble machine video a few years ago and it inspired me to learn a bit more of engineering.
I've been looking for an open source to contribute for some time, and I'm happy I've found this. 😄
Hi, I am Ian from Scotland now living in Barcelona. Ian#6876 on Discord
Got into coding first with excel VBA (god help me), and have done a fair bit of Python and JS. Never worked as a "proper" dev, but currently searching for first "proper" dev job! This is my first collaborative project and honored to be able to help in any way.
Saw the first MM video when it came out, been hooked since. I also do DIY, play and compose music as hobby, so I have been a regular watcher of Wintergatan since :)
Hi, I'm Adam from Missouri, US. artisangoose#5631 on Discord. proof
I have a background in VueJS, PHP, and Golang, but am currently a Site Reliability Engineer at Instructure. I look forward to enabling this team to rapidly iterate by providing CI/CD and GitOps strategies.
@phochs and I already manage some cloud infrastructure for the Discord Metrics server. We plan to utilize this existing infrastructure for the VMMX.
Hello! I've been working for about a year on maintaining Open Note Block Studio. It's a tracker/DAW developed specifically to make music within the Minecraft note blocks' constraints, which uses its very own file format to store songs, .nbs
.
Due to some limitations of the engine we're using, I'm currently working on rewriting it from scratch with the PyQt framework. While I have no experience with web technologies, I'd be interested in making a standalone desktop program for creating MMX songs (many parts like the audio engine could be reused or repurposed), or even helping develop a common file format (which could be a binary format like .nbs
or .mid
files, or a JSON or XML file).
If you feel like those could be useful abilities, please reach out to me on Discord: Bentroen#7626 :)
Everyone may write one comment to introduce themselves, say who they are on discord (and prove it), what their experience it and whatnot.
Welcome! Glad to have you on board!
Edit: Discord now supports connecting GitHub, so no more proof messages are "needed" 💬🔐
