Er -- I don't recall the discussion, and at any rate, we never removed the widget. I think you probably installed some privacy related plugin in your chrome, which is blocking it.
I've removed it now. i.e. The next release will remove it.

We previously had a feedback widget lurking in the corner of SoGive. However we didn't have the ability to control its content, so we decided to get rid of it. However although it's gone from chrome, it's still there in MS edge and on mobile.
Here's a screenshot from edge on my laptop
If a screenshot from chrome on my mobile would be useful I can send it through (it's a smidgen more hassle)
