Remove the appended spatial layers from the points download #588

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

Reported by Catherine Noble.

I can't see the logic in routinely appending the values of the spatial layers
"Country - parsed", "IBRA Region - parsed", "IMCRA Region - parsed", " State -
parsed" and "Local Government Area - parsed" to the points download. Can these
be removed?

In the SP, users can select whatever layers they want sampled - and as there is
no notification of the routinely appended values, they could be doubly
downloaded.

PS (while a biocache issue - I'll add it here for consistency): In the light of
above, I'd also simplify the biocache occurrences page by removing the
following contextual layer facets as they are unlikely to be used in this
context (and they don't match the appended layers noted above)

IMCRA
IBRA
Dynamic land cover
Vegetation types - native
Vegetation types - present

In the points download these default layers are now pre-selected and cannot be
unselected.

IBRA and IMCRA regions are the only two (by default - as the SP and WS allows
users to pick any they want) 'geospatial' fields in records downloads that may
be handy in some circumstances but this decision needs to be regularly
reviewed.

The other issue is the NAME used - which must be consistent. With the
geospatial layers, the NAME should be used (from the Layers Table), certainly
NOT the ID which appears currently to be used (e.g., "cl 1054") on optional
layers. Therefore suggest default 'geospatial' field names in records download
should be

IMCRA 4 Regions
IBRA 7 Regions

Default spatial layers are removed.

Renaming layers will be dealt with in issue 697.

Wonderful! (and on prod). Re naming and #697 - bring it on!
