S-2K Today at 10:31 PM Ah. Well, I guess I'll just drop a few ideas anyway. If you wanna add ships, maybe have this planet have huge structures on the sea floor which lays host to extensive automated shipyards and abandoned military bases, which themselves lay host to unique and suspiciously-pristine submarine droneships which are neither Derelicts or Remnants, and clearing the planet of them rewards the player with a Capital-sized ship from that same nonfaction which has a quest similar to the Champion's and Halbmond's which gives the player the blueprints for the lesser ships, and ultimately the Capital itself, over time. I may end up using this idea for a first mod if you do not. May be a horrible idea, but eh, I've had worse. Alternatively, have the sea floor of this planet lay host to truly exotic sealife, some of it less alive, natural, and certainly less friendly than the rest, and not-quite ruins of underground structures which are major disasters just waiting to happen, and have both of these factors contribute to a high hazard rating for the world but with high rewards for sticking with it.

Wisp Today at 11:23 PM So...first idea is awesome, but out of scope for the goals of this mod. Also, I don't have the skills to do it :stuck_out_tongue: and I could learn them but it'd take me like 10x longer, and I could put that time into modding other stuff instead.

Second idea fits better into the mod and my skillset. I really like where that's headed. It can fit with Avanitia's idea of some sort of crystalline spread as well. Like, it evolves rapidly, resulting in +25% or -15% of a random production every month. Or something else, I haven't played the game in so long lol need to refresh myself on how colonies work. And there can be some small number of follow-up miniquests that trigger randomly, the disasters you mention, where you need to go back and intervene somehow, resulting in further positive and/or negative traits on the world, and other stuff besides. Most of the reward should be separate from planetary traits, since most of the time, the planet probably wouldn't be worth colonizing, and leaning the other way could make it too appealing. Better to make that a more minor part of the outcome.
