[URGENT] wit.ai apps missing on migrating to meta account #2644

Closed anjaly closed 9 months ago

anjaly commented 1 year ago

Hi,

Our wit.ai account has been migrated from a Facebook account to a Meta account using the same Facebook email address.

We noticed that some wit.ai apps in the existing Facebook account weren't present in the meta account after migration. Here are the details of the missing appId and the wit.ai email address

Wit.ai email id : cto@uib.ai Missing appId: 6509742982385231

Please assist urgently

Thanks

We are looking into it.

@anjaly For your problem, is it a single app 6509742982385231 missing? And other apps have been successfully migrated?

ChrisyShine commented 1 year ago

@adhilmunna You problem seems like a missing of Meta <> FB account linking. To migrate your wit apps from the old FB account to the new Meta account, we need the new Meta account to be linked with the old FB account. How did you set up the Meta account?

adhilmunna commented 1 year ago

@chrisyshine fixed it. deleted witai (meta) account and then started the login from scratch. At the time of first logging in, I had no accounts linked to meta acc. Thanks for the quick reply though.

@anjaly I've tried to recover the wit apps migration. Now the app 6509742982385231 should be under your account. However, we lost the server_token and client_token during the data recovery. Can you re-generate the server_token and client_token for this app?

--Some Context-- When I tried to recover the apps migration for your account, I noticed some problems with the following 5 wit apps: 6509742982385231 2941663856073476 2560505594258694 1203603700155864 4500267580035639 You were the apps' contributor but not the owner. The strange thing is, these apps had no owner. So they failed to be migrated. Did you cooperate with others developing these apps and you were assigned as the apps' contributor? Now I have assigned you as these apps owner. But the apps server_token and client_token are missing now. Can you re-generate the server_token and client_token for these apps?

anjaly commented 1 year ago

@ChrisyShine Thanks for recovering it. Actually all these apps were created using this same account itself. We already had the earlier token and the wit.ai apis are working with it but the token is not showing in wit.ai app. Will the existing token work if we regenerate it.

ChrisyShine commented 1 year ago

@anjaly Seems that I can recover the tokens for you. Stay tuned and I will update soon.

ChrisyShine commented 1 year ago

@anjaly All the server_token and app_token have been recovered for the following apps: 6509742982385231 2941663856073476 2560505594258694 1203603700155864 4500267580035639

You should be able to see them in the app's settings page. The tokens should be the same as before.

Thanks @ChrisyShine. The apps are working now.

baroquedub commented 9 months ago

Just logged in and was redirected to 'login with meta' which I did but I see none of my apps. What's the process for getting them transfered?

ChrisyShine commented 9 months ago

@baroquedub Can you take a look at https://github.com/wit-ai/wit/issues/2668 first? If your problem cannot be resolved following the instructions in that issue, can you please open a new issue for your problem? We need:

  1. your new wit username and
  2. your old wit username or any of your old wit app ids
baroquedub commented 9 months ago

Can you take a look at #2668 first?

Thanks but that's a non-starter. The wit.ai homepage no longer gives users the option to login with the old wit.ai credentials. It just has a 'Continue with Meta' button.

I'll open a new issue.
