Can't upload images with suhosin extension enabled #5

I am unable to upload new images to Gallery 1.5 on a server with the <a href="http://www.hardened-php.net/suhosin/index.html">Suhosin extension enabled. Disabling the extension and restarting Apache fixes the image upload problem. (Note that the Suhosin patch in core PHP causes no such problem, it's just the extension that does it.)

Given that Suhosin is a security-related extension, I'd rather not leave it disabled. This will likely end up being a problem for people who can't disable the

The error message that appears in the browser is: Upload error: User cannot add to album.

This happens regardless of which user login I use, including the admin user.

There is another error that appears in the Apache error log, repeated several times: File does not exist: /usr/local/www/data/gallery/com

This string only appears in for Gallery Remote and the XP publishing wizard.

Does an upload via the form method work ?

It looks like the form upload does work. Apparently it's just Gallery Remote that's having trouble.
