Rename repo to `discord` or `discord-bot`? #43

We have quite a few repos/projects named Houston! It might make sense to talk about this project a little more generically, although our bot in Discord can absolutely be named Houston still 😉

@natemoo-re I do not see much competition in repos naming, or maybe there are some I did not see, if you could append a list of other related projects or repo. But in general, given that houston-vscode is also a "houston-bon", how about "houston-discord" ? or "houston-discord-bot" ?

The Houston bot on discord has quite a difficult dependency to apprehend, I think we need something like in hackmd or somewhere that documents the deployments and all active entities or servers running code on behalf of the bot.

I definitely agree that the infrastructure for this bot should be more heavily documented. I'm also planning on allowing things like an algolia setup to be optional in such a way that the command is disabled/not even registered if the required env variables are not set up

I'd be happy with houston-discord, personally!

mandar1jn commented 12 months ago

I think that that's the best name we could give this repo

@matthewp was able to rename the repo to houston-discord!
