Expected behaviour

Be compatible.

Actual behaviour

Steps to reproduce

Seems this plugin is installed by Fig automatically, can I disable this behavior? It will be installed after I removed manually, actually, I don't need Fig integration in IDEA and don't wanna see the warning every time when I launch IDEA.

Got the same issue

SimFG commented 1 year ago

same

exaby73 commented 1 year ago

So is this not going to be fixed?

akivajackson commented 1 year ago

It seems it was breaking the terminal so the IDEA people marked it incompatible.

exaby73 commented 1 year ago

Unfortunate. I found Fig last year and I moved away from it because of it's non-existent IntelliJ support at the time. Now it is supported but breaks the terminal? One last chance to Fig, and it managed to disappoint again. And considering this issue hasn't even been labeled since it was raised 3 weeks ago, I'm gonna say that I do not expect any fixes from this team and that this project is mostly dead. Thanks for the effort Fig team (if you ever read this), I greatly appreciate it. But unfortunately, I don't think I would be using this again. Good luck to you guys

if you ever read this

They're currently probably too busy transferring their assets to daddy bezos because they got acquired by AWS

As a user I'm so disgusted that they felt a need to join AWS. Yet another good project down the drain and into the void of "never getting updates and waiting to die"

Same problem, but with Android Studio Giraffle

juanes30 commented 1 year ago

same problem, any update?

mucahidyilmazz commented 10 months ago

hello, I solved the problem with fig install --input-method command, see the link below for details. (if it doesn't work, try restarting the IDE)

I uninstalled the plugin and ran "fig install --input-method" command. then restarted the IDE and the problem was solved.

@javabeanman Thank you. It works, although I need to restart Fig as well. My steps:

  1. Uninstall Fig in Android Studio
  2. Run fig install --input-method
  3. Restart Android Studio
  4. Run fig restart
jreznot commented 9 months ago

Dear Fig, please change icon of the plugin! And do not use IntelliJ Platform SDK as the author.

We now consider banning the plugin installation (even manual one) which pretends to be associated with JetBrains and IntelliJ.

prasannjeet commented 9 months ago

After multiple attempts to uninstall the plugin, the plugin, for some reason, auto-installs in my IntelliJ Idea.

ColtonIdle commented 9 months ago

Anyone figure out a way around this?

Gabrielfcs commented 5 months ago

If you are using a Mac, you can try this:

  1. Go to: ~/Library/Application\ Support/Google
  2. Go into each AndroidStudio folder and delete the /plugins folder.

if the second step didn't work, try the step below:

WARNING: This will remove your saved settings.

Remove all the AndroidStudio folders.
